Welcome to Essex Audi's Blog - Audi News and Reviews
Audi has broken a word record for Biogas powered cars. Audis environmentally friendly engines and fuels, and the success of the Audi R10 at Le Mans with its bio-diesel V12 engine speak for themselves.

The search for eco-friendly fuels is leading in many directions; one of them is bio-gas. This alternative fuel is made by a controlled decomposition of grass clippings and sawdust.

This new eco-friendly fuel was used by Audi to speed a modified B7 Audi A4 quattro to a bio-gas world speed record of 203.mph.
The project was part of Community Program at TUV Rheiland and local transport and tuning companies who helped in construction and development of the bio-gas fueled A4 and the final results were an Audi A4 running on bio-gas with an impressive 505hp (430kW) generated by a twin-turbo 3.0litres engine and the new record with a top speed of 203.3mph on bio-gas.
