Progress has a new name. Introducing the new Audi Q8 e-tron range

Around four years ago, our electrifying pioneer the Audi e-tron began setting a new standard for sustainable mobility in the premium SUV segment. Since then, our e-tron model range has grown to feature eight luxurious electric vehicles, with a view that by 2026, this spectacular portfolio will comprise of over twenty fully-electric cars sporting the four rings.

This week sees the Audi electric dream take one giant leap further forwards with the introduction of the new Audi Q8 e-tron and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, plus its Audi Sport counterpart the SQ8 e-tron. This top-of-the-line electric SUV takes the lead from its luxury-class internal combustion engine siblings, but with an optimised electric drive concept that places this latest edition at the top of the e-tron range. Building on the success story of the e-trons before it, the Q8 e-tron features more battery capacity, higher charging performance, a fresh exterior and brand new design, whilst also being an Audi innovation in its own right with Net-carbon-neutral production and the first-time use of recycled materials in a safety-related component.

Whilst the new Audi Q8 e-tron range is nothing short of breath-taking and we could spend all day telling you about it, we thought we’d condense this down to a few special highlights and then let you experience it in all its glory when it arrives early next year.

• Increased battery range of up to 582 kilometers in the SUV version (in accordance with the WLTP) and up to 600 kilometers in the Sportback version (in accordance with the WLTP)
• Improved aerodynamics for a reduction of the drag coefficient from 0.26 to 0.24 cw for the Q8 Sportback e-tron and from 0.28 to 0.27 cw for the Q8 e-tron
• Improved interior design with two high-resolution touch displays and voice control, plus up to 569 litres of storage space
• New two-dimensional Audi logo with projection light on Singleframe grille
• Three electric all-wheel drive variants can be selected
• Use of recycled materials for insulation and damping, as well as for carpeting, and will be certified as net-carbon-neutral for customers in Europe and the USA

Consumption and emissions values are only available according to WLTP and not according to NEFZ for this vehicle. Information on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in ranges are
dependent on the chosen vehicle specification.

**The indicated consumption and emissions values were determined according to the legally specified measuring methods. The WLTP test cycle completely replaced the NEDC on January 1,
2022, which means that no NEDC figures are available for vehicles with new type approvals from after this date. The figures do not refer to a single, specific vehicle and are not part of the offering but are instead
provided solely to allow comparisons of the different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, different tire formats, etc.) may change relevant vehicle parameters,
such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and, in conjunction with weather and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power
consumption, CO2 emissions and the performance figures for the vehicle. Due to the more realistic test conditions, the consumption and CO2 emission values measured
are in many cases higher than the values measured according to the NEDC. This may result in corresponding changes in vehicle taxation since September 1, 2018. Additional information

Audi understands net-zero carbon emissions to mean a situation in which, after other possible reduction measures have been exhausted, the company offsets the carbon emitted by Audi’s products or activities and/or the carbon emissions that currently cannot be avoided in the supply chain, manufacturing, and recycling of Audi vehicles through voluntary offsetting projects carried out worldwide. In this context, carbon emissions generated during a vehicle’s utilization stage, i.e. from the moment it is delivered to the customer, are not taken into account.
